Man Hacks Nephew To Death Over Watching YouTube Videos In Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: A youth was allegedly killed by his uncle after an argument over over watching YouTube videos at a village in Boipariguda area of Odisha’s Koraput district.

The incident reportedly took place at Sarujaba village under the jurisdiction of Boipariguda police station in the district on Saturday night, sources said. The deceased youth was identified as Leri Gadaba.

As per reports, Leri was watching videos on YouTube along with some other youths of the village near the house of his cousin, Sukadev, after having dinner. Sukadev objected to the presence of the youths near his house and asked them to leave the place.

An argument erupted between the two and the situation took a serious turn. Later, Leri reportedly went to Sukadev’s house with an axe and Sukadev’s parents opposed him.

Infuriated by the youth’s act, Sukadev’s father snatched the axe from Leri and allegedly axed him to death. Leri collapsed on the ground and later succumbed to injuries.

After getting information, a team of police personnel from Boipariguda visited the spot and launched an investigation.
