Sambalpur: A man was mauled to death by a leopard at a village in Rairakhol area of Odisha’s Sambalpur district, sparking panic among locals.
Sources said Shada Munda of Sahedi village under Nakatideula forest range died after being attacked by a leopard.
The man was attacked by the leopard when he had gone to the forest to collect wood. When he did not return home, her family searched for him and found his mutilated body in the forest.
On being informed, forest department officials visited the spot and initiated a probe into the incident. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem.
