Man Stabs 5-Yr-Old Daughter To Death At Behest Of 2nd Wife In Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A man allegedly stabbed his five-year-old daughter to death in Odisha’s Malkangiri on Wednesday at the behest of his second wife.

The incident took place RSC 14 village. The accused has been identified as Sanjiv Bhatra and he is absconding.

According to sources, Sanjiv attacked his daughter Blesi Rani and stabbed her in the stomach with a knife while she was playing outside the house. On hearing screams, the girl’s mother rushed out and found her lying in a pool of blood. The critically injured girl was immediately taken to Chitrakonda Community Health Center (CHC), where doctors declared her brought dead.

The grandfather of the deceased minor girl alleged that his son was instigated by his second wife to commit the crime.
