Man, Woman Set Themselves On Fire In Front Of Supreme Court!

New Delhi: There was panic just outside the Supreme Court premises after a man and woman allegedly tried to set themselves on fire on Monday afternoon.

The injured duo was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital for treatment after the incident which took place outside Gate D at Bhagwan Das Road. The area was immediately cordoned off.

Police are yet to determine why the duo allegedly tried self-immolation. Neither is their identity known yet.

“Police personnel at the gate of the court saw them and immediately rushed with blankets to douse the fire. The two were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in a police van and are undergoing treatment,” said DCP (New Delhi) Deepak Yadav.

Cops have also found kerosene, which was allegedly used to start the fire, at the spot.

In videos captured by bystanders, some men were seen trying to douse the fire while police personnel pouring water on the woman engulfed in flames.
