Nabarangpur: One more person succumbed while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital taking to the death toll in mango kernel tragedy in Nabarangpur district to three.
Two women of a family had died while two others were taken ill after consuming mango kernel at Mania Padar village under Jharigaon block on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Namita Santa and Sudhamani Santa.
According to sources, after consuming mango kernel with millet in their house, the victims complained of loose motion and vomiting.
While Namita died in the house, Sudhamani, who was taken to the hospital, breathed her last while undergoing treatment there.
