Phulbani: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Odisha Police successfully dismantled a Maoist camp located inside a forest in Kandhamal-Boudh border area of Odisha.
According to sources, the personnel of the elite security force also recovered several Maoist materials including explosives after busting the camp in Tudibahal forest area.
Acting on a tip-off about Maoist activity in the area, a team of the SOG conducted a combing operation in the forest.
While no Maoist was found at the camp during the search, the team uncovered a number of materials, including food supplies, medicines, saline solutions, and explosive substances. The red rebels were suspected to have fled the site before arrival of the SOG personnel.
Following the seizure, the security personnel have intensified the combing operation in the forest and nearby areas.
