Maoist Camp Busted In Koraput, Explosives Seized

Koraput: In a breakthrough, the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel busted a Maoist camp at Chiliba forest under Machakunda police station limits in Lamptaput block of Koraput district on Wednesday night and seized a huge cache of explosives and other materials from the spot.

During search, the BSF combing operation team recovered two SLR guns, nine detonators, medicines, Maoists booklets, uniforms and 80-metre electric wire from the place.

“The security forces carried out a combing operation in the area following an information regarding presence of some ultras there. However, no one was present at the camp during the raid”, a police officer informed.

Combing operations have intensified in the area, the officer added.
