Nabarangpur: Maoists have put up posters at different places in Jodinga area under Raighar block of Nabarangpur district urging locals to observe CPI (Maoist) foundation week (from September 21 to 27).
A few locals noticed the posters pasted on walls and trees on the roadside and immediately informed the police regarding the same.
The posters signed by Menpur Division of outlawed CPI (Maoist) have sparked panic in the region.
“People should join hands with us and observe the foundation week in every nook and corner in high spirits”, one of the posters read.
On September 17, similar posters were also found pasted in several trains under Chakradharpur railway division in Rourkela urging people to observe the foundation week.
The posters have been seized by police. Elaborate security measures have been taken by the cops to prevent any untoward incident. Combing operations has also been intensified in the district.
