Bhubaneswar: With the general and the Assembly elections scheduled next year, the Congress high command, taking note of the ongoing intra-party feud in Odisha has decided to go in for a massive reshuffle in the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) very soon to salvage the sagging image of the party in the state.
Talking to a news channel, AICC member and newly appointed Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh said the senior party leader in Delhi would take a decision on the change of PCC leadership. “Apart from this, a decision has been taken for a massive reshuffle in the OPCC from top to bottom.
Admitting that there are problems in OPCC, he said the prevailing misunderstanding among the party leaders and workers would be amicably sorted out.
Replying to a question on why some senior leaders are quitting the Congress and joining other parties, Singh said in Congress each party worker has a place. However, some of them have the notion that they have no place in the party. “If the deserving worker or leader is given the right place, there will be no exodus to other parties,” he explained.
