Bhubaneswar: Police on Friday arrested six more persons in connection with the murder of an alleged drug mafia, Somnath Bhujabala alias Pinku, in Odisha’s Khurda district.
Sources informed that those arrested include the mastermind, Sanjay Pradhan. Four guns, 11 rounds of live ammunition and 6 four wheelers were seized from their possession, informed Khurda SP Siddharth Kataria.
Bhujabal, a known brown sugar dealer of Khurda, was shot at by armed miscreants near Samantaraypur square on June 8. He was first rushed to a hospital in Khurda and then shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Earlier this month, police had arrested Dharitri Behera and Raj Dalabehera of Mukundaprsad village under Khurda police limits for their alleged involvement in the murder and seized two swords and three vehicles from their possession.
