Jeypore: One student of Class X had to miss her matric exam on Friday after the autorickshaw she was travelling in overturned near Kerameti under Kundra police limits in Jeypore.
Seven others travelling in the autorickshaw too sustained injuries but have reportedly managed to reach the exam centre at Kaudiaguda School.
The matriculation examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education began on Friday. A total of 5,71,909 students are appearing the High School Certificate (HSC) examination while 4,443 are writing Madhyama exam and 9,378 students State Open School Certificate (SOSC) exam.
The exams are being held from 8 am to 10 am. The BSE had rescheduled the Madhyama and SOSC exams from second sitting to first sitting in view of the heat wave. The exams will continue till May 6.
