Sambalpur: A day after COVID-19 positive cases soared to 234 in Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC), the state government deputed Chanchal Rana, Project Director, DRDA, Mayurbhanj in Sambalpur on Friday.
According to an official order issued by General Administration and Public Grievance department, Rana will assist Samblaur collector in the management of the situation arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The SMC has also launched intensive surveillance by about 250 teams for the health survey, sample collection and contact tracing works.
