Bhubaneswar: Odisha Technical Education Minister Premananda Nayak on Monday informed that online exams of professional courses like MBA, BPharm and BTech would be conducted between July 9 and July 29.
Speaking to media, exams would mostly be held in online mode in view of the COVID-19 situation. “The students should appear for the exams, which will be of two-hour duration,” he said.
Nayak further said that holding offline classes seemed unlikely in the near future. “There will be online classes for the time being.”
A decision on resumption of classes will be taken in the 2nd week of July, he added.
Meanwhile, Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) have been asked to conduct the final semester exams of all courses in the first week of July by devising their own pattern for online exams in accordance with the guidelines issued by UGC/AICTE for ‘COVID-19 pandemic, security and preservation of data on their respective servers’.
