The Odisha government had earlier expressed its inability to run MIMSAR.
According to a statement issued by MCL, the entire infrastructure for the medical college and hospital is ready and a high-powered committee has been constituted to expedite the process for running the medial institute from next session beginning 2020-21.
The matrix for inviting Expression of Interest (EoI) is being prepared after collecting inputs from PSUs running medical colleges, super specialty institutes, charitable trusts, healthcare foundations, and hospital chains. A notification for the same will be issued through leading newspapers and website shortly, it added.
Built at a cost of Rs 492 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR), MIMSAR will have 100 MBBS seats and students will be selected through National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG).
