Bhubaneswar: An expert team of doctors flew to Malkangiri district from Bhubaneswar on Tuesday to provide super-specialist treatment to patients under Mukhyamantri Vayu Swasthya Seva (Air Health Service).
The medical team comprises five senior experts, including nephrologist Dr A Jena, cardiologist Dr BK Das, surgery specialist Dr S Sethi, radiologist Dr S Rana and anaesthesiologist Dr C Pradhan, as per the requirements of the enlisted patients. They will serve and treat the patients till August 31.
Under the scheme launched in December 2021, specialist doctors are flown to remote areas of the state to treat patients admitted into their respective district headquarter hospitals.
