Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday closed Rabindra Medical Hall at Bapuji Nagar here after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19.
The other 13 staff and the proprietor of the medicine store have been asked to undergo home quarantine for 14 days as a precautionary measure.
Swab samples of all the employees will be collected fro COVID-19 test. “The standard COVID-19 protocols have been initiated. Contact tracing has already begun to isolate others who have come in contact with the infected persons,” said South-East Zonal Deputy Commissioner (ZDC) of BMC Anshuman Rath, who led the enforcement team.
The store management has been asked for details of persons who visited the store from their database. “Every individual, who visited the store, will be asked to contact BMC in case of symptoms,” the ZDC informed.
