New Delhi: Male patients account for 70 per cent of the total number of COVID-19 deaths in India so far, the Union Health Ministry has revealed.
Data available with the government further reveals that 45% of those who have succumbed to the novel coronavirus are below 60 years of age.
As for gender distribution, 63% of total coronavirus positive cases in the country so far have been males and 37% females.
There have been 1,48,439 deaths caused by the pandemic in India till date.
