Bhubaneswar: Temperature crossed 40 degree Celsius in as many as 5 places in Odisha with Titlagarh leading the table on Sunday.
According to evening bulletin of the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Titlagarh recorded the highest temperature of 42 degree Celsius, followed by Sonepur with 41.8 degree, Malkangiri and Boudh with 40.5 each and Bhawanipatna 40.2 degree.
The Met office has forecast that maximum temperature is very likely to gradually rise by 2-3 degree at many places in the state during next 2-3 days and there will be no large change thereafter.
Bhubaneswar recorded maximum temperature of 38.6 degree and minimum 25.5 degree. The city will have partly cloudy sky with possibility of development of thunder/lightning in next 24 hours.
