Bhubaneswar: With scorching heat gradually gripping different parts of Odisha, the day temperature jumped above 37 degree Celsius in at least 15 places of the state during the last 24 hours.
The state capital of Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda turned out to be the hottest places in the state during the period recording maximum temperature of 37.8 degree Celsius, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The day temperatures continued to rise in major towns and cities of the state.
As per the IMD, dry weather prevailed in all districts of Odisha during the last 24 hours.
