Bhubaneswar: Even as Odisha continued to reel under scorching heat, Sonepur and Balangir recorded the highest temperature of 43 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, the mercury soared above 40 degree Celsius at 11 places.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 37.2 and 36.2 degree Celsius respectively.
The MeT office has further said that the day temperature is likely to soar above 40 degree Celsius and remain 3 to 4 degrees above normal at many places in Interior Odisha during the next 3 days.
