Bhubaneswar: An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale was felt near Ganjam around 11.19 am, Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre informed on Friday.
The tremors were felt twice for a duration of 5 seconds each around 11.20 am in Nayagarh district and also in Phulbani and Boudh, triggering panic among people who immediately rushed out of their houses, media reports said.
On March 3, a mild earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale had hit Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts.
