Minister Naba Das Murder: CB Takes Accused Gopal On Further Remand For 5 Days

Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch of Odisha Police has taken Gopal Krishna Das, the accused in the murder of minister Naba Kishore Das, on further remand of 5 days for continued interrogation.

An 8-member team, led by DSP Ramesh Chandra Dora, along with Gopal is camping at Gandhinagar in Gujarat for different tests of the accused. The first round of polygraph test of Gopal was held at SFSL, DFSS Gandhi Nagar on the day and it will continue tomorrow. His Narco Test will also be conducted after detailed medical examination on Friday.

A team from CFSL, New Delhi has completed the Forensic Psychological Assessment (FPA) and Layered Voice Analysis (LVA) test of Gopal at Jharsuguda. The special Medical Board consisting of psychiatrists has conducted a detailed study of the mental health of accused and the report is awaited.

The experts from SFSL, Gandhinagar and the CB team recreated the crime scene on Tuesday. They also analysed the physical clues collected during investigation of the case.

The detailed service verification of the accused is being carried out by a team of CB, headed by a DSP.

The ADGP, CID Crime Branch is camping at Gandhi Nagar to personally monitor and supervise the investigation of the case.
