Balangir: Police on Wednesday found the decomposed body of a minor boy, who was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by his cousin for Rs 10 lakh ransom, from a forest in Odisha’s Balangir district.
The body of Mohan Kumar, who hailed from Sirabhatapada in Titlagarh, was recovered from Siker forest.
The accused has been detained and has confessed to the crime, police said.
Kumar was on his way to tuition classes on April 23 when he was allegedly kidnapped by his 23-year-old cousin brother. When he did not return home, his parents lodged a complaint at Titlagarh police station.
