New Delhi: A 14-year-old boy was detained by Delhi Police for allegedly killing his tutor who sexually assaulted him on several occasions.
According to police, the 28-year-old tutor used to regularly abuse the boy and even blackmailed him after recording a video of one of the assaults.
“On August 30, at around 2.15 pm, a PCR call was received that blood was coming out of a room on the second floor of a house in Batla House, Jamia Nagar, and the room was open,” South East Delhi DCP Rajesh Deo said.
A police team rushed to the spot and found a man’s body on the floor with deep cut injuries on his neck.
The minor allegedly murdered the man with a sharp weapon in an act of revenge.
A murder case was registered as police launched an investigation.
According to initial findings, the tutor was allegedly homosexual and started teaching the boy two months ago. In this period, he sexually abused the boy multiple times.
He shot an intimate video of the boy and used to threaten that he would to upload the video on social media if the latter did not comply, police said.
On the day of the fatal incident, the tutor called the boy and directed him to come over to his Jamia Nagar house.
According to police, the boy reached the apartment with a sharp paper cutter and slit the man’s throat before running away.
The one-room apartment where the body was found was owned by the man’s family. The property, which had been rented out, was vacated by a tenant a few days before the incident, police said.
