Cuttack: A miscreant broke into a garment shop here on Monday night and decamped with Rs 2.50 lakh kept in the cash box. The act was captured on a CCTV camera installed on the premises.
The incident was reported from Madhupatna area of the city. The owner came to know about the matter when he came to open his shop today morning.
“I kept the cash for paying a few vendors who were scheduled to come today. It is disheartening that such crimes are occurring at places close to the police station,” he said.
Madhupatna police have registered an FIR in this connection and examining the CCTV footage to identify the thief.
