Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly stole mobile phones from some inmates of Asima hostel at Rama Devi Women’s University recently, raising concern over safety and security of the students on the campus.
According to sources, the incident took place on the night of November when the inmates of the hostel, housing differently-abled students, went off to sleep without bolting the doors of their rooms.
While police have registered a case and initiated a probe, they suspect involvement of a few labourers who are engaged in construction work on the campus in the theft.
