Kendrapara: The body of a youth was found with his throat slit in an agricultural field near Balabhadrapur under Pattamundai police station limits in Kendrapara district on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Rasmi Ranjan Das, an auto rickshaw driver.
Das, a resident of Damarpur village in the district, was missing from his house since Sunday evening.
The victim’s family members have lodged a complaint alleging that Das has been murdered and sought immediate arrest of the accused.
An auto rickshaw and a liquor bottle were seized near the spot. The body has been sent for autopsy. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of death, police sources informed.
