Mumbai: Actor Ajay Devgn talked about an eye injury on the sets of his upcoming film Singham Again while promoting the film with filmmaker Rohit Shetty in the latest episode of the reality show Bigg Boss 18.
During the conversation in Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Bigg Boss 18 host Salman Khan noticed Ajay wearing glasses and inquired, “Aankh pe jo chot lagi thi yehi pe lagi thi (The eye injury that you suffered was in this one)?”
Salman explained that a mistimed action scene during the shooting of Singham Again had led to a severe eye injury. “Ajay showed me a shot. There was a mistiming, and a person came to beat him with a stick, and its timing went off. So it straight hit him in the eye.”
Ajay said that the eye injury led to temporary vision loss. “I had to undergo a small surgery and wasn’t able to see for 2-3 months,” he revealed, highlighting the risks involved in action sequences. He, however, added that technological advancements had made shooting such sequences safer and easier compared to earlier days.
The actor duo then discussed how they used to do action scenes without any cable or CGI.
Joining the cop universe, Salman Khan will also make a brief yet impactful cameo as Chulbul Pandey in ‘Singham Again, which is the third instalment of the super-hit franchise. It will release in theatres on November 1 alongside Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
