New Delhi: Reacting to Mithun Chakraborty’s statement that over three dozen Bengal MLAs from the Trinamool Congress are in contact with the BJP, Trinamool Congress MP Santanu Sen claimed that no one in West Bengal will even believe what the actor/politician is saying.
“Had heard that he was hospitalized, I think it was a mental illness not physical. No one in Bengal will even believe what he is trying to say,” TMC MP Santanu Sen said, according to India Today.
Earlier, Mithun Chakraborty had hinted at trouble within the Trinamool Congress.
“Let me give you all the breaking news. At this moment, 38 TMC MLAs are in touch with the BJP and of them, 21 are in direct touch with me. A Maharashtra-like situation could happen any day. It could happen tomorrow as well,” actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty said on Wednesday.
Mithun Chakraborty was inducted into the BJP last year ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls.
