Modi To Transfer 1st Instalment Of PM Awas Yojana-Gramin In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the first instalment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin to the beneficiaries of Odisha during his visit on September 17.

Speaking at a presser in New Delhi on Friday, Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the programmes of the prime minister during his visits to various states.

On the prime minister’s Odisha tour, Chouhan said Modi will distribute sanction letters to 10 lakh beneficiaries of various states at a function in Bhubaneswar.

Modi will also make digital transfer of the first installment of Rs 3180 crore directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries and 26 lakh beneficiaries will enter their new houses with their families.

During the programme, the “Awas + 2024” app will be unveiled by the Prime Minister, which aims to ensure the allotment of pucca houses by including eligible beneficiaries in the list.

In the current financial year, Odisha has been given a target of 22,572 houses against which an amount of Rs 41.32 crore has been released, the Union Minister said.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 11.35 am on Tuesday. He will proceed directly to Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar where he will participate in different programmes till 1 pm.

Modi will launch Subhadra Yojana at the event and also lay the foundation stones of several other projects.
