Bhubaneswar: More areas in the capital city have been declared micro-containment zones on Wednesday following detection of multiple COVID-19 cases.
Five areas in the southeast zone of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and four in the south west zone have been declared micro-containment zones.

On Tuesday, the civic body had declared 16 more micro-containment zones to check the spread of the virus.
Notably, the number of micro-containment zones in Bhubaneswar has crossed the 100-mark since it was hit by the third wave of the COVID pandemic earlier this month.
The city has over 4622 active cases and 803 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
