Bhubaneswar: In a new development in the fake doctor Ramesh Swain case, the Pink Team will appeal in SDJM Court in Capital city for a seven-day remand, for the third time.
The pink team, comprising women from different areas of expertise has been formed to investigate into the frauds committed by fake doctor Ramesh Swain.
Earlier, the Commissionerate police took the fake doctor into remand for 8 days in two phases.
On the other hand, two more cases have been filed against the fake doctor . While one case has been filed at Saheed Nagar police station for allegedly using forged documents for registration of a vehicle, another case has been lodged at Pahala police station where a person claimed to have been duped of Rs 69,000 by Ramesh.
As per the latest reports, his caretaker Nrusingha Rout has revealed some startling facts about the fraudster. According to Rout, the whole business of Ramesh was running on credit and he was treating patients at a clinic in Kamakhya Nagar. Ramesh pretended to be a specialist of orthopaedics there and even medicine representatives used to make long queues outside his clinic to promote their drugs. His second wife played a major role in his business, said Rout.
His sister Rashmita Beuria too is in police remand and police are hopeful of extracting more facts regarding the fraud from her during the interrogation.
