London: As many as 6 million people were following online a British Royal Air Force transport aircraft carrying Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin from Edinburgh to London.
According to Flightradar24, it was the most tracked flight in history of aviation, reported PTI.
The previous record was when a US military aircraft flew US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan last month. That flight was followed by 2.2 million people on Flightradar24.
The 96-year-old Queen passed away on September 8 at her Scotland estate in Balmoral, after a record 70-year-old reign. Her coffin lay in state at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh before being flown on a RAF Globemaster C-17 on Tuesday evening.
