New Delhi: The Bombay High Court will hear Aryan Khan’s request for bail on Tuesday. The 23-year-old Aryan Khan, who is in jail since October 8 in the drugs-on-cruise case, has been twice denied bail.
Former Attorney General of India, Mukul Rohtagi will represent Aryan Khan in court on Monday.
The plea comes up as Narcotics Control of Bureau’s (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede has been accused in a ₹ 8 crore payoff claim by a witness in the case.
The anti-drug agency though backed the officer saying “impeccable service record”. The NCB said that witness Prabhakar Sail had turned ‘hostile’.
A special court in Mumbai last week said Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chats indicated “he is dealing in illicit drug activities of narcotic substances on a regular basis”, so it could not be said he is not likely to commit similar offences while on bail.
