Bhubaneswar: Odia movie ‘Mana Museum’ had its music launch in the presence of its actors and crew at a grand function in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Produced by Sangeeta Mohanty under the banner of Sangita Motion Pictures, the film is set to hit the theatres on March 24. The movie’s storyline runs on friendship, love and bondage between two matured personalities. With 7 soul stirring songs, the actors, producer and director of the film are optimistic of positive response from the audience.
Speaking to the media at the music launch, Sangeeta said, “Mana Museum is a content-oriented script, where we have tried to showcase a love story of two school friends. Love is a pure bond and how that bond evolves over the period of time.”
A software engineer by profession and very passionate about film making, Sangeeta said, “We have big plans for Odisha. This is my first venture in Ollywood and I hope people will accept us. We plan to come up with more films with their blessings.”
‘Mana Museum’ is directed by Dhrubananda Panda, who is a leading cinematographer from Odisha and has been associated with more than 45 Odia films as a DOP. Some of his hit movies are ‘Love Master’, ‘Abhya’, ‘Siva Not Out’, and ‘Super Star’. “Mana Museum is my dream project on which I have been working since 2019. It is very close to my heart as this is a story of a cinematographer,” he said.
The movie has Nihar Nayak and Upasana in the lead roles. A professionally trained actor, Nihar studied professional acting at the Houde School of Acting in the US. His acting career began with Hollywood movie “Slave to the Rhythm” by Patrick Manway in 2017. He then worked on several short movies, music videos and modeling assignments.
“I am back to my motherland to contribute to the Odisha film fraternity. I am thankful to Sangeeta Ji and Dhrubananda Ji for considering me for the role of Pati. I am sure everyone will be able to connect with the character of Pati in the movie,” he said.
After the success of “Chumki Seita Panire Budiba Nahinki”, Upasana will be seen in this movie as lead actress. “Mana Museum has a unique storyline and is not a typical love story. The bond shared between best friends is very pure and often that love stays unrecognised for years. This is the theme of the film,” she said.
“The trailer of the movie received a huge positive response from the media across the country and went viral on social media. We hope our audience will enjoy this movie,” she added.
The crew of the movie include all the top listed names from Odisha. Sarat Nayak is the music director, while Bijaya Malla is the lyricist. The screenplay and dialogue of the movie is written by Bharadwaj Panda. Sukumar Mani is the editor of the movie while Girish Mohanty is the choreographer.
