Jajpur: Mutilated bodies of a man and his wife were found lying on the railway tracks at Dhuliapasi in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Wednesday amid suspicion that the two might have ended their lives by jumping before a train.
The incident took place near at Dhuliapasi near Tomka railway station in the evening.
The deceased have been identified as Nimai Charan Bai and Janki Bai from Ostapal area.
According to sources, a motorcycle was also found parked near the site raising suspicion that the couple might have jumped in front of a running train to end their lives
Locals claimed that the deceased were under debt burden and were unable repay loans because of financial crisis.
However, the exact sequence of events that led to the incident had not been ascertained so far.
