Malkangiri: Mutilated body of a newborn girl was found on district headquarters hospital (DHH) premises here in the early hours of Friday.
According to sources, hospital staff spotted the body near the Aahar centre this morning and immediately informed police.
With multiple injury marks and a limb ripped off the body, police suspect a stray animal could have mauled the boy after it was dumped by someone on the hospital premises.
An investigation is underway, the sources added.
