Bhadrak: The headmaster of a high school was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Thursday.
According to sources, Surendra Panda, the headmaster of BB High School at Brahmanipal, had not returned from the school to his home last night.
Panda was found hanging from a tree near a canal in Narayanpur village under Dhamnagar police station on Thursday morning. On being informed by the villagers, a team from the police station went to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
While the cause of the headmaster’s death has not been ascertained, the police have registered a case of unnatural death.
However, the local sources said a case was pending against Panda in the court. Besides, he was going to retire from the service after two months.
