Naveen Inaugurates Cognizant’s New Facility In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the new centre of Cognizant, one of the largest professional services companies in the world, in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

Located in the Odisha Technology Center, the state-of-the-art facility, is spread across 51,000 square feet. Designed to foster innovation and collaboration, it can accommodate up to 800 associates in the initial phase. In the second phase, additional 29,000 square feet will be integrated to meet the needs of clients and associates.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said, “I’m delighted that Cognizant has chosen Bhubaneswar as the launchpad for its expansion across emerging technology hubs in India. The swift collaboration between Cognizant and the Electronics & Information Technology department, resulting in the establishment of this centre within seven months is truly commendable. We will fully support the functioning of the centre. We are confident that Cognizant’s presence will help create new high-value jobs for the youths of Odisha and contribute to its growth story.”

Ravi Kumar S, CEO, Cognizant, who also inaugurated the facility with the chief minister, said, “We are excited to open our new centre in Bhubaneswar, which has emerged as an education hub with highly skilled talent and robust infrastructure. Tusharkanti Behera, Minister of State for Electronics and IT; VK Pandian, Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha; Manoj Kumar Mishra, Principal Secretary, E&IT Department; Manas Ranjan Panda, Special Secretary, E&IT Department; Rajesh Nambiar, CMD, Cognizant India and senior leadership of the company were present.

Cognizant serves organisations across 20 different industries to help modernise technology, reimagine processes, and transform experiences.

The associates at the Bhubaneswar facility will work on a broad range of advanced technologies including AI, ML, IoT, digital engineering and robotic automation.
