Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated a railway overbridge at Titlagarh town of Balangir district on virtual mode. The 1042-metre ROB has been constructed with a cost of Rs 71.59 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said since Titlagarh is an important railway junction, the overbridge will benefit the people of Bhawanipatna, Kesinga and Nuapada in communication.
Stating that his government wants overall growth of Titlagarh town, Naveen said several other projects in this regard like modern bus terminus, renovation of Maharaja Sagar and sewarage treatment plant are in progress.
The chief minister said the government has been stressing on infrastructure development as it leads to economic growth of the state. Odisha has emerged as the leading state in the country in construction of roads, ports and other infrastructures, he added.
On the occasion, he also appealed to the people to cooperate with the government in the efforts to control the spread of second wave of COVID-19.
