Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday thanked all on completion of the “Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha” programme in a record 13 days.
The chief minister launched the final and 13th round of the programme in Koraput, Nuapada and Jajpur districts on the day.
Under the programme, Rs 120 crore has been sanctioned for 3087 projects in 5 Assembly constituencies of Koraput district. Similarly, Rs 65.5 crore has been sanctioned for 1,765 projects in 2 constituencies of Nuapada and Rs 155.5 crore for 4,109 projects in 7 constituencies of Jajpur district.
Total Rs 3,397 crore will be spent under the programme in the entire state. Each panchayat would get Rs 50 lakh to take up various development projects.
The government’s rural-oriented ambitious scheme was launched on October 10 and ended on November 10. It was completed in 13 rounds during one month.
The programme was launched in Keonjhar and concluded in Jajpur. Total 16.5 lakh people participated in the programme. Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha VK Pandian coordinated the programme.
