Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will address the people of Odisha at 8 pm on Monday, the CMO office said.

According to sources, he is likely to focus on July COVID strategy. The state is currently facing the twin challenges of reducing local contact cases and protecting the corona warriors.

The address comes as Odisha is on the threshold of crossing 10,000 positive cases soon.

On June 29, ahead of Unlock 2.0, the CM had spelt out a nine-point mantra to tackle COVID-19 in the month of July during a meeting with district collectors and SPs via video conferencing.

In his last address on June 4, Naveen had said that the month of June would be very crucial for the state in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and urged the citizens to practice self-restraint by following the guidelines.
