Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend Odisha FC’s ISL match against Bengaluru FC at Kalinga Stadium here on Thursday evening.
“We are delighted to confirm the presence of the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, at the Kalinga Stadium for our game against @bengalurufc tomorrow!” Odisha FC tweeted on Wednesday.
Odisha FC will be hoping to present Naveen with a victory in their second home match of ISL-9, having come from behind to beat Kerala Blasters 2-1 on October 23. It was the Juggernauts’ first game at Kalinga Stadium after a gap of 982 days, with the league having been played at one centre (Goa) during the last two seasons, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Odisha FC defender Carlos Delgado urged fans to turn up in numbers for Thursday’s clash.
“We need all of you in Kalinga stadium !! See you tomorrow @JuggernautsOFC @OdishaFC @IndSuperLeague,” tweeted the team’s experienced Spanish recruit.
Odisha FC are currently in third place, with 6 points from 3 matches.
