Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday wished speedy recovery to DMK supremo and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Dr K Karunanidhi.
In a telephonic conversation with the DMK working president MK Stalin in the afternoon, Patnaik inquired about his father’s health and wished him early recovery.
Karunanidhi was rushed to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on July 27 night following a sudden fall in his blood pressure.
Meanwhile, in a bulletin on Tuesday the hospital authorities said that the former Chief Minister, who is 94 years old, will require an extended period of hospitalisation due to age-related overall decline in his general health, altered liver function and haematological parameters.
