Balasore: National general secretary and BJP in-charge for Odisha Arun Singh on Sunday made it clear that his party will not stop the ongoing welfare schemes introduced by the Naveen Patnaik government if it comes to power.
“The BJP will continue all welfare schemes of the present government,” Singh told mediapersons during a press briefing here.
Announcing that the BJP will provide smart phones to 17 lakh members of women self-help groups (SHGs), he said apart from this, one member of each family will be provided a job.
On the farmer issue, the BJP leader said after coming to power his party will procure paddy directly from the house of the farmers instead of mandis (procurement centres).
