Mumbai: For the first time, a short movie from Odisha is among the shortlisted entries for the Filmfare Short Film Awards-2020.
‘Nawab’, Odisha-born ad-film maker Dayanidhi Dahima’s maiden short movie is one of the 35 shortlisted movies for the prestigious award.
The duration of the movies is less than 20-minutes. It features Aparshakti Khurana, Mallika Dua, Maria Goretti and Geetika Vidya
The short film has been written and directed by Mansi Jain and produced by Big Banner Films in association with Daya Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
Dayanidhi Dahima, 28, from Rajgangpur moved to Mumbai to make a foray into filmmaking. He dabbled in ad-film making in Odisha after completing a filmmaking course from FTII, Pune. He even started a celebrity management business before he entered Bollywood.
