Bhubaneswar: Thursday saw 3607 more patients recovering from COVID-19, taking the cumulative total to 133466.
This included 1037 from Khurda, 415 from Puri and 299 from Cuttack.
With this, 79.84 per cent of patients have been cured in Odisha. The state has so far seen 167161 positive cases and 669 deaths due to the infection.
According to data released by the Health Ministry, the state is positioned 12th among all states & UTs in recovery rate.
The first three slots are occupied by Andaman and Nicobar Islands (92.84 per cent), Daman and Diu (91.7 per cent) and Bihar (91.3 per cent). Tamil Nadu (89.24 per cent), West Bengal (86.61 per cent), Delhi (83. 68 per cent), Andhra Pradesh (83.32 per cent) Gujarat (83. 13 per cent), Rajasthan (82.98 per cent), Telangana (80.72 per cent) and Assam (79.76 per cent) are next in the list above Odisha (79.25 per cent).
