Bhubaneswar: The capital city reported 223 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours against 206 the previous day.
Of the new cases registered, 52 were from quarantine and 171 were local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in a tweet.
The highest of 19 cases were reported from Patia, followed by 11 in Old Town and 9 from Dumduma.
While 204 patients have recovered from the disease, the number of the deceased has gone up to 946 with 12 more fatalities from the virus.
The city now has 2,828 active cases and total positive cases have gone up to 1,02,490, the BMC stated.
