New Infections Drop Below 300 In Bhubaneswar, 74% Local Contact Cases; COVID-19 Toll 119

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the Odisha capital touched 25735 on Monday with 271 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

It is after several weeks that the city saw less than 300 new cases in a single day.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 68 are quarantine and 203 local contact cases.

The highest of 10 cases have been reported from Rasulgarh and nine each from IRC village and Baramunda.

The city also saw two COVID-19 deaths while 313 more patients recovered from the infection since Sunday.

With 119 deaths and 22210 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 3385 active cases.
