Puri: A newborn baby girl was rescued from bushes along a road in Satsanga-Balanga road in Odisha’s Puri district on Sunday.
Some villagers passing by the road, heard the cries of an infant and found the child lying amid bushes with barely a piece of cloth to cover her body.
Local villagers alerted Pipili police who reached the spot and rescued the baby.
The child was taken to Pipili hospital and her condition is stated to be stable. A local woman is reported to have to shown interest to adopt the child.
